Film: Emma. A pleasant diversion after the challenging viewing of the last couple of weeks. Decadently staged and sharply acted, it’s an assured adaptation of the classic. Just found the overly jaunty score too intrusive early on....and the much remarked on bare bottoms seemed out of kilter with the overriding tone of the film.
