Winter Floods!

After my morning visit to the library, I walked home via the park where the River Chew was in flood. Water levels have dropped slightly since last night, as was evident from the riverside footpaths which were covered in thick mud. However you can see how unusually high the river is by looking at the same scene in Summer: https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2455810619211777580

I intended to walk on to the River Avon, which is 15 feet above normal levels, but at this point it started to rain (again!), so I beat a hasty retreat home!
