Running Deer

The subject of today’s picture is one of our Reeves Muntjacs. This one was either in our larger border or by the side of the lane when the dustcart stopped to collect our rubbish. It was spooked and ran the length of the garden, stopping briefly at the edge of the pond before running on. The dustcart also frightened a squirrel, which ran from the same direction, straight up one of our apple trees.

A day spent sorting out a few things and completing the back of my waistcoat. Then I have been modifying the pattern for the two fronts, hopefully the pattern will work, but it is one of those things which might have to be pulled undone a few times!

The temperature at GMT noon was seven degrees Celsius; a dry morning, but rain in the afternoon.
