Allan Bank

A morning exploring bits of Grasmere we had not been to before. I was planning a camera club walking tour including  3 packhorse bridges but it started to pour with rain; the packhorse bridges will wait for another day. Walked up to the National Trust property of Allan Bank famous as being a home to William Wordsworth, Coleridge  and later Canon Rawnsley one the founders of the NT. It has an unusually informal set up for the NT,  minimal decoration, lots of sofas , bring in your picnic , shelter  from the rain and make yourself a hot drink.
We managed to  visit one quite cute bridge on a wet tour back to the village from Allan Bank  (extra). Its over Easedale Beck just up from Goody Bridge but couldn't find a name for this bridge
