Au revoir

We woke to snow, and quite heavy at that.
Oddly enough in the village centre, probably 50m in altitude lower than us, it was rain.

I'm v pleased for the village. Whilst we've had superb conditions the lack of low snow has been noticeable. And the two half term weeks can take a heavy toll, so a good new dump is a blessing.

An excellent journey to Geneva Airport. Full flight, left on time and arrived early.
Then an utter utter horror show of a drive back from Manchester Airport. How do we get transport so so so wrong in the UK? We clearly need massive investment in public transport and the associated infrastructure to imcentivise people out of their cars.
As an example we'd have loved to go to the airport by train. But two tickets plus parking at a small town train station was more than double driving and parking at an international airport. Add in the last train North being before 8pm and it wasn't worth the risk/cost. Nuts.
