"Out On The Wiley, Windy Moor..."

Tess & I took a walk along the old railway line from Princetown across Dartmoor today. Not a day to "roll and fall in green", as you can see, but we enjoyed the swirling mist and bracing winds. The odd hound did loom out of the mist at us, but none of the Baskerville persuasion, I'm pleased to say.

The ruin in the photo is an old cottage near the quarry, presumably for a worker there or on the railway.

After an hour and three quarters brisk walk we were ready for a warming lunch in our favourite town cafe.

Beating about the bush?
