Trees

Most of the morning spent making a big pan of French lentil soup, and preparing a nut and vegetable roast ready to cook this evening. Time consuming, but we now have several 'ready meals' for the next few days. Alan D, who came to see MrM about a fiddle, stayed and had some soup with us.

Down to Alnwick after lunch to return the courtesy car and pick up our car - hopefully the newly fitted alarm will behave itself! The photo, taken on the way home, is dedicated to Joe Tree. Thank you, Joe. 

The nut and veg roast, rather unexpectedly, met with MrM's wholehearted approval! Maybe not surprising though, as it's a recipe from No Bones Jones's Festival Cookbook - No Bones runs a great festival food stall.
