Letters from a storm water metal cover.  

I'm not usually very good at attention to detail but this experiment of mine with macro photography has me scrutinizing objects a bit closer. I'd gone out to get pix of rusting surfaces when I started focusing on storm water, sewerage or water access covers.  I soon noticed that almost every one of these covers is different: in design and from different manufacturers and some are actually quite beautiful (for objects that are about 10" in diameter on on which everyone just tramples). I had never noticed :) So.... a series in the making for me.
