Strike day!
Which started with chauffeuring the blackleg scab to the station so that she could cross the picket line at Queen Mary’s.

Home to mostly housework until it was time to go to lunchtime football.

After a hard- fought loss, back to the station and my own train to London. Well, I shared it but you get the idea...

Thence to Soho and its cluster of record shops. This is Reckless Records - as featured on the cover of the Oasis record. Pretty good.

Then Sister Ray, Sounds of the Universe and Phonica. All very good for new vinyl but less good for the cheapskate second hand shopper.

Twenty minute walk to Queen Mary’s where I crossed the picket line myself to see C’s office. We were joined there by a grumpy M. He had actually had a pay rise in the morning but was more bothered by a problem about a billing issue that was out of his control...

We couldn’t decide where to eat until we ended up at Seven Dials Market which consisted of a selection of Street Food inside an old banana warehouse. Very buzzy. We had Vegan Mexican food but there was a real selection...
