 This morning I watched, and photographed this Monarch Butterfly as it emerged from the chrysalis.
This evening I watched as it flew into the sunset - along with the second monarch that also emerged today.


You’ll notice how black the chrysalis now looks compared to the colour when the caterpillar first changes to this stage. 

The second extra shows both butterflies, one a male and one a female, almost ready to depart.
