Fallen Trees

Out for a walk this afternoon I came across this pair of logs. Trees blown over in a gale some time ago appear to have blocked the path.  The roots seem to have been cut away and the remains left for wildlife to take over.  The colour image shows it covered in moss but is not that interesting.  I think the mono pic brings out more texture of the bak and the surrounding plants.
