Breakfast was served at seven and half an hour later we were bundled into the minibus where we found out thank goodness that we were not the only ones travelling to Kruger Park.
The bus made several pick ups and in the end there were seven of us on the trip. It's a shame that had we have known we could have stayed overnight at the airport as the last pick up was from the airport where we'd arrived last night. Still the good thing was that all the other passengers were young guys more the sort we're used to travelling with a real mixed bag. There was a guy from Wales who'd just landed from the UK he was going straight to Kruger Park for four nights then flying home again. A chap from Canada a couple from the States but originally from Estonia and Belarus a girl from the Netherlands and another girl from Germany.
We seem to get on with the young guys well so chat was rife as we travelled in the bus. It was a shame that we lost the Canadian and the Welsh Chap along with the German girl at the lunch stop as they were transfered to another bus as they were on a four day safari. With a few loo stops we arrived at Kruger Park at half past four and within minutes we were setting off on the open topped 4 x 4 on the sunset drive.
It was a pleasant stroll as we saw Rhino's zebras giraffe buffalo etc etc. We returned at seven and as soon as we set foot into the camp it was thrown into darkness as we'd been shedded. We were led by torch light to our tree house settled in for five minutes then led back by again by torch light for a now candle lit dinner at eight. At nine as the tables were being cleared low and behold the power came back on. Which at least meant that we could get ready for bed in the light.
