Croome Court

Another dry day, windy but not bitterly cold, so we headed off to Croome Court.  Mid-morning coffee in the cafe merged into a very acceptable lunch. After lunch we took a walk down to the house.  There were a couple of exhibitions, The paintings of Croome's artist in residence, Antony Bridge including one based on the original Richard Wilson (1758-9) painting which was also on display.  The other showing was the art of Jilly Oxlade-Arnott an architectural painter who was actually in the room working on another painting of Croome. She has travelled around National Trust properties painting the main buildings.

The walk back to the reception and cafe at Croome is up a very long hill, coming down was no problem but the return journey I made in one of the buggies that ferries people up and down the park.  I took this picture of the Chinese Bridge whilst I was waiting for my ride.
