Art Nouveau

This is another view of the casino but this time I have included part of the statue that ornaments the fountain between the Casino and the Hotel du Portugal, the only large hotel to survive the catastrophic floods of 1940 that swept away the centre of the village.
Today was the French conversation class followed by a meeting with the Maire to act as interpreter for the Anglican vicar. The estimates should be in for the new roof but the Mairie is dragging its feet so a little negotiating may be in order. Then we will be off to badminton which is always fun.
