Windburn

The wind really picked up yesterday evening and was still pretty strong first thing this morning. It must have whipped round the courtyard as I noticed the newer growth on the bay tree was burnt off. LH keeps his orchid collection in a plastic greenhouse (one of those things with a frame and bubble plastic sheeting) and I'm afraid that that took a beating aswell. It's fortunate that the temperatures are relatively mild as that's the second time in the past couple of weeks as Ciara blew it apart too.

A lovely evening yesterday with LD and D who shared their adventures in Chile and Easter Island. What stunning places.

Anyway, today was packing and tidying before going north (we hope) next week. Still some to do ...
