Finally managed to be out in the garden this morning and gave the outside of the hedge a good trim.  It looks much better so far but l will have to do more tomorrow. I will never enjoy trimming the hawthorn it is viscious!!  The afternoon was spent watching the rugby.. well done Scotland and  hard luck Wales.. it was close.
Tonight was the annual village quiz.. the rules are that if your team wins you set the quiz next year.  We are always rather delighted to dodge the bullet and come second or third... but this year we excelled ourselves and .... won it!!!  Oh hell.... not only do we have to set the quiz we have to cook and serve a two course meal... ugh!!  Ah well ... we enjoy going to the quiz so l guess we have to take our turn.  All good fun!
