OXCARS

This structure which has always intrigued me sits adjacent to Oxcars Court, a block of 1960s deck access maisonettes in Muirhouse, Edinburgh.

I've always liked to think of it as a modernist take on a doocot, it has a door on the other side. Perhaps a Cold War bomb shelter where a youthful Irvine Welsh might have read the Dandy.
