Cantilever bridge

This cantilever bridge over the Erie Canal connects Tonawanda to North Tonawanda. It was built in 1919 when New York State were hoping to rebuild all the bridges along the canal to allow vessels with tall masts to get through. things changed though, and the plans were dropped. Apparently this bridge was only ever raised one time to test it and hasn't been raised since, but it is used by trains daily on routes to/from Buffalo and Niagara Falls, and further into Canada.
