Juvenile Oystercatchers

When I walked Zoe down to the sea wall this afternoon the tide was right in and the wind was very fresh Sao I did not expect to get any brilliant shots of any wading birds. However, further outrun the mud flats the tide was a quite low so there were a few wading birds about. These two are juvenile oystercatchers and I an  not sure whether the variation in their plumage means that they are male and female. I was really pleased to get them in a small calm area of water which gave me reflections as most of sea was fairly rippled.
