Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . . for an early celebration

A drive down to Kendal this morning in good time to go out for lunch to Sizergh Castle with Tim, Melanie and Dominic.

It's Dominic's birthday next week so it was by way of an early celebration.  But it was just lovely to spend time with them and to go for a walk in the gardens afterwards in the sunshine.  

Then, on the way back we had a look at the Lyth Valley from Helsington Church (see extra) where all that rain recently has turned it into a wonderful wetland.  It was a glorious sight . . . . . .
