Weird light

I couldn't see any rainbows, but there was plenty of thunder and lightning. A wild day, with flurries of sleet and hail and the sea covered in white horses across at the Sands of Wright. Relatively sheltered close in on our side, with 'cats' paws' skimming over the surface when the wind picked up.

Extra is a photo my aunt sent me today of her and her elder sister, my mother, 70 years ago on the top of Simonside, Rothbury, Northumberland. A great photo.
