Worcestershire Parkway

This new station near us opened yesterday. After delays the opening was quite low key. It links 2 lines - the GWR Malvern to Paddington line (which we’ve been able to use from Pershore of course ) with the CrossCountry Cardiff to Nottingham line. Exciting times!
We decided to check it out : parking and facilities etc. As we arrived the police turned up with whispers of a person on the line so we were told not to buy a ticket in case we couldn’t travel. In the end happily it turned out to be a trespasser rather than a fatality, so we hopped on the next train to.... Malvern! We had a coffee and a wander round as in the end the destination was irrelevant. I love a train ride being a railway man’s daughter, and the station looks very smart!
