A Special Honor

This morning our pastor was honored with the presentation of a US Congressional Veteran Commendation, a special commemorative coin and a United States flag that had been flown over the national capitol building, to recognize his service as a Marine in Vietnam.  I had to leave for handbell rehearsal before everything was quite finished, but I got to see the important part and as I walked by the refreshment table,  I looked down to see this lovely cake and got a decent picture of it---though, I didn't  get to eat any.......So, this is my entry for the Mono Monday theme of "Looking Down".
