Decided on taking the big lens with me on today’s dog walk. 

Richard had assured me that the woods would be safe as the high winds would have got rid of any weak trees or branches. So it was a surprise today to see a large tree snapped across its trunk blocking the path. Think I may be taking his advice with a pinch of salt in future!

Spotted this Goldfinch who was happy to pose for me.
