What struck my fancy

Around 1090AD

Retired medic's walk today in deep Norfolk UK. We visited St Mary's Church at Houghton on the Hill. The church is around 1000 years old and the pictured murals date from about 1090. This section depicts an archangel, wings to its right, and blowing a trumpet. To the left are the faces of the reawakened dead clambering from their graves and no doubt pleading for mercy and eternal life.

The extra shows a view of the church.
