Joyful morning

After what seems like weeks of rain and grey skies it was a joy to go out on a bright morning with light winds.

It was hard to stop pressing the shutter but here are three out of many taken from Sandside, between Arnside and Milnthorpe.

The main shot is of the Howgill fells north of Sedbergh. Always my favourite hills when snow has fallen. It accentuates their shapeliness so well. They may look near but in fact they are 21 miles from my viewpoint.

One of the two extras shows the Langdale Pikes. In the middle ground is Witherslack Hall. The Pikes are about 22 miles away as the crow flies.

The other extra shows High Street I think but I would be happy to be corrected.
