New growth on the Acer

The morning started with a light sprinkling of snow, enough to sit on the cars but not enough to cover the roads. It’s been bright and sunny but a bitterly cold wind has persisted throughout the day.
The tips of the acer stood out vividly in the sunshine where the new buds are developing.
