Portland Japanese Gardens.

I had the whole day off!  My friend K came to town and we went to the Hoyt Arboretum to walk the trails and enjoy the sunshine.  I only carried the camera and the wide angle lens.  I will go back with a telephoto for all the birds.  We were just going to do a couple smaller trails then go to lunch.  We ended up doing nearly all the trails, including a long loop that took us to the Portland Rose Garden and the Japanese Gardens.  K had never been to the Japanese Gardens so we also walked through all of the Japanese Gardens.  Then another 1.25 miles back to the parking lot.  It was a late lunch sitting outside at a restaurant on the Columbia River.  Fabulous day!
