The Feast of Saint Pancake!

I don't really need an excuse for pancakes but given it's Shrove Tuesday I figured I'd invite K &T round to devour some with me.

It's hard to imagine that way back when, eggs, milk and flour were considered rich foods and that's why they were used up in pancakes before lent. If someone now asked you to eat up all your rich foods, they probably wouldn't be what you'd be reaching for.

Learnt from the best, pancakes sat keeping warm on a plate over boiling water so no one has to stand in the kitchen cooking more during dinner. Anemic colour because it's impossible to get gluten free flour to caramelise.
