Odd Day for Flies.

Phil Gaulton tied these for me, marvellous fly dresser, he was a train driver in Salisbury. Have not seen him for years. Never used them for real, but did catch a sea trout at Christchurch fishing an Alexandra.
The Alexandra was designed by George Kelson. He named it after the Danish princess who married Prince Edward of Wales, later King Edward V11, in 1863. Even trout flies have a history.
