Sticky

Given the conditions it was something of an achievement for a match to go ahead.

A heavy, sticky pitch and 40mph winds made for an incident filled match. An early goal for City helped to open the game up. A mis-timed tackle resulted in a Plymouth sending off, soon followed by a second goal for Bradford just before the break. The second half saw a succession of clear chances for City to seal the game but Plymouth always posed something of a threat and shorlty after going down to nine men pulled a goal back. The last ten minutes were tenser than they should have been, but 2-1 it remained, and three valuable points earned for the Bantams. Hopefully the pitch will dry out a bit over the next two weeks.
