The Wedding

The wedding was perfect.

I know they all are but this was such a risky one being so weather dependent for both the ceremony and reception.
The forecast only improved each day over the week, the grass was green after the rain, it was mostly sunny but enough cloud to keep the photographer happy.
After finding out the night before that the electronics to the shed were failing intermittently (probably due to 400ml of rain recently) we got a generator set up which did the job.
The caterer and band were excellent and after Helen sacked the wedding planner early on we got a team of Rotarians to help out. I think they enjoyed it almost as much as we appreciated them.

The guests all obviously had a great time and the bride told me over and and over again it was “the best wedding ever”.

This is a back blip of Helen and Omar with all the nieces and nephews. I went to bed at 1:30am but some were still kicking on. Although the jet lagged sister-in-law had crashed on the marital bed by then.

Our official photographer, trisharooni, has posted some shots on Flickr here.
