Waiting

I didn’t have the best of night’s sleeping in an unfamiliar bed, but at least the sun is shining and I can hear birds singing nearby. Overall, this latest dog-sitting episode has passed fairly well and without incident. In a few hours from now, Benjy will transform from a quiet, miserable canine into an uncontrollable happy barking machine when his owners return from their latest overnight escapade.
