Spring is here

No, not that Spring. Everyone knows that that begins on March 21st. Except the Met Office of course.

As I have probably explained before, Arnside Knot is made of limestone and is full of underground holes. It gets plenty of rain but has no streams coming off it because the water sinks into all the holes.

It all runs out in springs near the base of the hill and in this case right on the beach. There is a good flow today.

Now I must dry my trainers. The things one does for a blip!!
