A stranger

This is a self portrait.

Driving home this morning I heard Pamela Stephenson quote this in a radio interview and she attributed it to Nabokov. When I got home I tried to track down its source on the internet, but no luck, despite finding many other quotes from Nabokov.

Anyway it has prompted me to post my first real SP, something that I have found hard to do up until today.
