Hatton Locks

We had a nice visit from Emma this morning who was on her way back to London.  We gave her a lift to Warwick Parkway for the train then drove on to Hatton Locks for a little walk by the canal.

It was so nice to see the sun which has actually lasted all day!

As we were walking we spotted this 'marooned' barge.  For some reason the water had drained from the entrance to one of the locks and the barge was stuck in the mud.  Presumably water pouring through an earlier lock would get the boat afloat eventually.

After the walk we drove on to Packwood House for a drink and lunch.  As expected the place was packed, We managed to find a small table in the corner of the cafe.
