A Packed Beach

There were very few humans around at Manly Beach today, yet the sands were packed. Aong the various species were hundreds of Black-Tailed Godwits who migrate to Australia from northern Europe in August and head back as the Aussie 'autumn' begins. Incidentally, our autumn temperature today was 33 centigrade, 6C higher than expected for early March. The planet continues to heat up, it seems.
