Seabone
I see Seabone every day. It sits just over the wall of the garden, on a grassy knoll by the burn. I see it but I don't always see it.
Today, I see it. It is raw, like our landscape, and carved, like our landscape, in to elemental shapes.
It gives me a huge amount of pleasure to spend time on that knoll, and to recall the occasion on which Seabone appeared (my 50th birthday), a complete surprise - commissioned by S, made by a dear friend.
