Spa Session

Stanley needed a pedicure today. He is such a sweetheart (with me !) that I am able to use the nail clippers while he just lies back on my lap.
This amount of trust has been built up over many years and now he never attempts to bite.
Being an Amazon parrot, he has to have his claws clipped a few times a year, otherwise they would just keep on growing.

My other parrot Lucy, an African Grey, doesn't ever need to have the same treatment. I certainly wouldn't be able to turn her on her back, let alone use nail clippers - not without losing a few fingers !
