View from Croker Hill

A panorama for a change.

I went on a geocaching expedition with Paul today in East Cheshire. We started by Bosley Reservoir and covered 11 miles. The terrain was very undulating and some of the fields were extremely muddy so it was bit of an endurance test and I will be aching tomorrow.

The panorama was taken from Croker Hill where there is a distinctive radio mast that will be familiar to anyone who has been over this side of Cheshire (not far from Macclesfield).

To the left of the photo is The Cloud which is another distinctive feature in the area. If you zoom in you can also see a train crossing the railway viaduct on the Manchester to Stafford line and Jodrell Bank is on the horizon. From here the view is towards where we live. It was a bit hazy in the morning but later in the day you could see Beeston Castle and the sandstone ridge including Old Pale where I have taken many photos..
