Oh I do like to be beside the seaside...

We've had 3 terrible sleeps in a row with Little D being unwell but this morning he woke up brighter so we decided to make the most of it and the dry weather and head to the beach. Miss A though it was a great idea but just as we were about to leave the house she wanted to know when the aeroplane would leave. Sorry love, it's not that kind of beach we're going to, it's Portobello.

First we stopped off at daddy's work to see how he was, then we headed on to Porty and took a stroll along the promenade before heading down to the water. Despite the lack of tropical palm trees and scorching hot weather the kids had great fun collecting all the washed up shells and throwing them back into the sea. We didn't hang about too long though as it was brass monkeys.

From there we headed to a trampoline centre and spent an hour boinging up and down. I was jumping around with the kids, possibly having even more fun than they were. They loved it so we'll definitely be back and I can burn off a few more calories while entertaining the kids. Win win!
