The changing London skyline

Went over to Battersea this morning on the bus.

It really strikes you when you arrive in Vauxhall and the Nine Elms area just how much development is taking place. The Blip shows redevelopment around Battersea Power Station. This has always been an iconic building and part of the sweep of the Thames downriver to Putney and beyond.

However, development looks to be swallowing up the Power Station. All that will be left of the view is the four chimneys surround by new flats and retail/offices.

Well I’ve been Bliping for a year so let’s hope the images have got better and more interesting over this time. Tonight is competition time at the Photographic Society. Broad shoulders and prayer could be in order for tonight. However what ever the outcome I really like the images I have submitted. It’s about having fun.
