An Analemmatic Sundial

After a very wet and dismal start to the day, we ended up at Port Sunlight on the Wirrall (in bright sunlight....).
This model village was built for the employees of Lord Lever's nearby soap factory (Sunlight and Lifebouy soap amongst others)..Mrs MD has some more interesting Blips.
This is an analemmatic sundial (what a grand name)  which features two rows of stone markers laid out on the ground, one for British summer time and another for winter, along with a flat calendar stone that reflects each month of the year. When the sun is shining, the shadow line cast by their form falls upon the current time.
The sun was shining and it was working....:-)
The building in the background is the Lady Lever Art Museum.
The village also boast a quite stunning war memorial - which is one of only seven in the UK that are Grade 1 listed - a detail of the memorial is my extra.
