My Place

Had to take this photo and blip it today. I mean, really! This place is in the Hell’s Kitchen area of Manhattan. We put our big bag of dirty clothes into Shelly’s red suitcase and headed west and south to the Laundry Cafe on 50th near tenth street. We got there to find not a cafe but definitely a laundromat. The owners greeted us and were very helpful showing us what to do. We walked during the wash cycle. That’s when I took this photo. Then we had lunch while the wash dried. We ate pizza rolls and they were delicious. As we headed home after I folded and packed the clean laundry it began to rain, very lightly. We got home and spent the rest of the day in quiet. We went upstairs for coffee and cookies and had a lovely conversation with some ladies who are also staying here. It’s been a nice day.
