Lindisfarne

What a lovely day (again!).  Coffee (and cakes) at the Barn at Beal then over the causeway to Holy Island where we visited the Priory and the castle.  Can’t remember the last time I was in the castle (if ever!) the National Trust recently completed a massive conservation project there and it was looking wonderful, one of the highlights was seeing the seals in the distance and also catching a glimpse of an eider duck.
Two of the party have just left for home and the rest of us are off to Berwick Maltings tonight to see the film ‘David Copperfield’.  Hope we can all stay awake!
