New York Brick

I like the solidity of this block of New York brick - 18 stories high, to save you counting and situated around 10th Avenue and 23rd Street. Taken from the Hi Line...a former merchandise-only railway turned into an elevated urban walkway. The dead plants are not being cut back as they contain many sleeping or developing creatures that the fauna need to continue to survive, particularly to attract bees and to eat destructive pests.

In the evening we followed Blipfoto's resident jazz guru's tip to Smalls jazz spot in Greenwich Village . . . Spin Cycle were on and were terrific . . . see extras. Thank you, RichardHaas!

Some extras of our walk today.
