In the Bleak Midwinter...

A scene that seems to sum up the bitter cold conditions this afternoon at Powell's Pool in Sutton Park. This rook and his mates gathered around any car that arrived, presumably hoping for something to eat.

Took my Mum out for a drive, just to get her out of her flat, as impossible for her to walk out at the moment.

Still stupendously beautiful, even though bleak.
