Popping to the Post Office

We had a day trip to Dublin. This is the General Post Office. A working post office and head of the Irish postal service, but famous as the headquarters of the leaders of the Easter Rising in 1916. The Proclamation of the Irish Republic was read from here. It was destroyed by fire during the rebellion, apart from this facade, and was rebuilt in 1929.

Extra, nearly full moon.
