Corfe River in spate.

Two hours ago this river was over the road, but the water was not sufficient to prohibit to cross it.  Now the water has fallen about eighteen inches; speed of its water is over ten miles an hour (m.p.h.)

CORRECTION:  There WAS a period there with stranded and soaked cars on the road and car-park.  Fortunately I missed it.

The mound at left comprises the north-western walls of the Castle.

And yes, the rushing water was that clay colour !
