Into town this morning to sign the contract and transfer on my purchase... funny how people, my solicitor in this case, can look completely different to how they sound on the phone.

Lunch and then down the M1 to meet Mary at The Tower in Leicester, where we had a great climbing session in spite of not really feeling like it! I even got halfway up an overhanging route, the sort of climbing I've avoided since hurting my shoulder in 2015.  Next week I'm going to finish it.

Back home I did a quick tidy of the garden and potted up some bits of plants I want to take to my next house - mint, chives, geranium, beach aster, verbena and a penstemon.
